Family Photo

It's Family photo time and every one's mad! Dad is trying to convince Bella to put on her tutu, the same tutu that just yesterday she hand spent 20 min crying over when her mom took it off to wash it. Liam is wondering what mom is doing to his hair and why she won't let me eat hair gel and the comb, it look so tasty and after all, it's been over 5 min since I've eaten two whole bananas and a cup of rice cereal. What does she expect me to do...Starve.

Bella and Liam are further confused and annoyed as they arrive at the park, but not to play. The slide is just over there and I'm suck here on the grass. Sit down and smile everyone.

Mickey Pancakes...

This morning when I asked Bella what she wanted for breakfast I got a very clearly enunciated "Mickey Pancakes" instead of the word "breakfast" repeated back at me. I wanted to reward her unusually clear and concise answer to my questions so I proceeded to whip up a Mickey Pancake. I topped it off with a bit of whip cream and a chocolate chip smiley face. It meet with Bella's approval and she ate off the whipped topping. I noticed she had stopped eating after min and thought perhaps she needed smaller pieces to work with so I started cutting the pancake up for Bella to eat. As soon as I made the first cut Bella let out a scream "NO MICKEY!" She is now having cereal for breakfast... with the mickey pancake sitting next to her.

Perfect Day for the Park

The words of the song "What do you do in the summer time?" for the kids of of southern Utah could be changed to "Stay indoors with the AC blaring in my face." Everyone knows going to the park in the middle of summer around here is the best way to procure second degree burns from going down a slide. That is why for Bella and Liam perfect park weather hits in October. Bella and Liam are taking advantage of the nice weather and playing outside as much as possible because we know all too quickly it will be much too cold. Today Bella and Liam hit the park with some enthusiasm. OK well maybe enthusiasm is a bit of an overstatement but at least they are sitting on the grass instead of the couch. Grass may not be as interesting as Mickey cartoons but for today it's doing the trick. Mom is gabbing with the other mom's and the fresh air couldn't feel nicer.

It looks like Bella is making a new friend (wink wink) with the boy who lives across the street.

While Bella flirts with boys Liam is eating grass and finding bugs and seems to be very happy about it.
